Dad, Consultant, Cornellian, traditional liberal (it's about free markets, free trade and free speech), avid reader and film buff, youth soccer, basketball, little league coach, tech geek, policy wonk, historian, SF lover, sports fan and even more which at some point I'll get to. I truly enjoy open, tolerant, frank yet respectful exchanges. Love learning new things.
I love to share all kinds of posts and have respectful, intelligent debates and conversations. While many posts will be related to politics or issues of personal liberty and freedom, you'll also find a fair number of other things given my wide range of, at times, eclectic interest. The main thing is to be respectful and have fun. Also, don't be afraid to moderate the comment threads on your own posts (I'm not). If people can't be polite and civil, don't be afraid to block them. Being open to conflicting and different ideas does not mean you have to accept rudeness.
Grew up back East in NYC, engineer and ROTC in college, though now live on the West Coast and have lived and traveled all over the world as a kid and an adult (if i can just get to Antarctica, I can nail down every continent). Member, Pacific Council on International Policy.
