Jonathan List: Have you tried Camscanner? I have found it very helpful. The problem with OCR and mobile devices, that I have had, is that the image is often not high enough quality to get good OCR. Often I will have shadows in the wrong place, or the light will cause phase problems on the page (compact fluorescent lights, for example, cause a wavy light pattern… 02/14/2012 Influential
Robert Quick: Thanks, yup I know it does very specific types of OCR like bizcards but like to have general. Like to be able to do an article or paragraph of benign information instead specific extractable information like businesscards. 02/14/2012 Influential
Jonathan List: Goggles does have ocr. You can scan a business card to see it in action. To do what you want, I use a combination of pdf scanner pro and google docs. Sometimes it works well, sometimes it's terrible. 02/14/2012 Influential
